I’ve had a fascination with England for years. I love England and for some reason the Tudors, more so than any other royals of English history were the focus of that fascination. I’ve branched out to more historical periods since then, but I thought I should begin with the one that started it all. Over the years I’ve read a lot of novels centering on the Tudor court. I never read too much on the early Tudors, I tended to focus on Henry VIII to Elizabeth I, but the early characters of history are just as interesting.
There’s no shortage of media revolving around the Tudors; tv shows, movies, countless books, websites, etc. If you’re interested you can find something about them almost anywhere so I won’t bore you with loads of historical detailing here.
Below I’ve listed some of my favourite books on the Tudors and the authors who wrote them. All of the authors have quite extensive collections. The first three authors listed are adult fiction and the last two are preteen fiction. They’re all great reads, though I don’t really read any of them anymore. Honestly, I got a little bored with it, but for anyone who hasn’t saturated themselves with the Tudors yet, I think you’ll enjoy them.
