Since we’re coming up on the New Year and I know that a lot of people consider doing New Year’s resolutions, I thought that maybe I would cover a topic that could help with it two fold. If you want to get healthy and also tackle a creative project then you’re in luck! Those two happens to have a fair bit in common, in that improving your physical well being can lead to increased creativity 😀
At the most basic level activities involving cardio are going to get your blood pumping which will bring more oxygen to your brain. Studies suggest that exercise can improve all sorts of cognitive function, including creativity. The catch is that studies also suggest you need to be physically fit in general to get the benefits, so if you’re planning on going for a run to get those creative juices flowing, but you go on one run a year, you probably aren’t doing yourself much of a favor.
Do something good for yourself this year (if you haven’t already) and make your health a priority so you can bring a little more creativity to your world. I wish you all a happy, healthy and infinitely creative New Year!
